Unity Picnic

Tuesday, August 16 @ 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This year’s Democratic primary was feisty and competitive as is so often the case in Washtenaw County and even more so after the recent redistricting. Now that the dust has settled and we have our nominees, it is time for Democrats to pull together in a show of unity and determination.

Please join the Washtenaw County Democratic Party (WCDP), Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, and other special guests at a Unity Picnic on Tuesday, August 16th from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at Pavilion B at Island Park in Ann Arbor.

We will have multiple speakers and a boxed dinner will be generously provided by Congresswoman Dingell.

Please bring a lawn chair if you have one, seating will be limited at the park. We also highly recommend wearing a mask when not eating/drinking.

To receive a boxed dinner, please RSVP here as soon as possible.

Boxed dinners will only be provided to those who RSVP.

Join Democrats from across Michigan for our 2022 Fall Nominating Convention on August 20th and 21st at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan, where we will formally  nominate Democratic candidates to the November 8 General Election.

2022 WCDP Voter Guide

In 2020 the WCDP printed nearly 100,000 Voter Guides, which were walked to doors, mailed to voters, and shared at events.

Print is only half the story though, and making our online voter guide easier to use on the web and on your phone is a key goal in 2022!

Your support will decide how many guides we can print in 2022. Support this key voter resource to help #FlipLansingBlue!

The Final Word
You won redistricting in 2020

When we vote, we win

Your votes for fairer maps in 2018 mattered.  Similar movements all across the country mattered.  Thanks to you we’ve got the best maps for the US House in over two decades

You did it in 2018.  You did it in 2020.  And we are going to do it in 2022.  Pass it on.

“Note on the chart how the tipping-point seat’s partisan lean lurched rightward in both 2002 and 2012, reflecting Republicans’ gains in redistricting after the 2000 and 2010 censuses. Not only did Democrats break this mini-streak of good redistricting cycles for Republicans, but they also reversed the effects of two pro-GOP redistricting cycles in one fell swoop.” Read full article here.
