TAKE ACTION: Roe v. Wade, the fight’s not over, the battle’s right here!
Deadline: NOW! – Even those of us who thought we were prepared were shattered when Politico published the leaked draft US Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade. If you live in California, it’s important to know that legal abortion is very safe here. We also hope you know that isn’t enough – more than half the country is on the brink of having abortion become illegal or unobtainable if Roe is overturned, and we’re damn poor fighters for justice if we sit in safety without helping. And it isn’t just abortion on the edge – no matter what (In)Justice Alito says, this opinion would set the stage to bring down the right to contraception, LGBTQ+ rights, maybe even interracial marriage. So, be angry if you’re angry – grieve if you need – feel numb if it’s all too much – but read our article because we’re not conceding defeat, we’ve got a list of things you can do to help. And then tell everyone you know, so they can help. The fight has just begun. Again.
