1. Ketanji Brown Jackson: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson proved during her Judicial Committee hearing that she will be an exceptional jurist with the temperament and judgement of a wonderful Justice. Republicans on the Committee illustrated a mix of racism and sexism by bullying Judge Brown Jackson and trying to paint her as soft on pedophiles (which she isn’t). Once again we see Republicans show their racist, sexist, oligarchical colors.
2. Clarence and Ginni Thomas: In contrast to Judge Brown Jackson’s sterling record, this week we found out that 1) Ginni Thomas was in text contact with Mark Meadows during and after 1/6 and was a key player in trying to foment insurrection, and that 2) Justice Clarence Thomas ruled from the SCOTUS bench to keep the proof of her complicity secret. This means that ALL THREE branches of the government are compromised by insurrectionist autocrats. It’s unlikely that Democrats will be able to hold Thomas accountable in any way since only he can decide when he needs to recuse himself. However, calling for his resignation on Twitter (where the journalists lurk) could potentially prompt more stories about Ginni Thomas, Clarence Thomas, and the grift.
3. Republican Abortion Bills: Republicans in Idaho, South Dakota, Iowa, and more states are trying to make abortion illegal. Watch this clip of Kentucky State Senator Karen Burg discuss Kentucky’s bill. All of our conversations about abortion need focus on bodily autonomy and not forcing extremist Christian views on everyone.

1. Vocally support Ketanji Brown Jackson for SCOTUS!
2. Start getting out good information about voting in key states. Here’s one example from Indiana on behalf of Destiny Scott Wells, the Democratic candidate for Secretary of State who is a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve.

- On Facebook: Focus on asking people to spread the message about Democrat’s achievements, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and stories about the human cost of the anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
- Commit to stop refuting Republican messaging with their own words. It is time to change the conversation framing to our own ground and to start talking about #DemocracyNotAutocracy.
- Do not like, retweet, or comment on Republican content online—screenshot if you must.
Bottom line
There is no other way to preserve democracy than to WIN BIG in November. To that end, please talk to every single person in your network about volunteering and voting in primaries and in November. This is the #1 priority, and everything else we talk about supports that.
