The Oakland County Democratic Party continues to send our condolences to those who lost family members and friends in the horrific shooting that occurred in our backyards at Oxford High School.
After launching this fundraiser this past Friday, we have raised over $500 of which 100% of the donations will be donated to the Oxford Community Memorial and Victims Fund via the Oxford Bank. The Village of Oxford and the Oxford DDA will administer all funds in partnership with Oxford Community Schools. Donations will go to families and victims first, then a memorial.
We, at the OCDP, have decided to extend the fundraiser through the holiday season until December 16th. We encourage you all to continue donating to the Oakland County Dems for Oxford fundraiser to support the families and community of this tragic loss.
After donating, we remind you all to continue taking action by texting ACT to 644-33. Use your voice and vote to stop gun violence, and to encourage elected officials to support legislation to ensure this never happens again.
We must all work together to keep our children safe.
