This evening, beginning at sundown, followers of the Jewish faith all across the globe will begin their observance of Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement.
In recognition of this important holiday, Florida Democratic Party Chairman Manny Diaz issued the following statement:
“Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is a day of prayer and reflection, an opportunity for honesty, self examination and repentance, but also a chance to chart a course for a better year ahead. May this day bring you serenity, clarity, wisdom and a renewed resolve to deal with challenges and shortcomings in the future.
“To all those observing Yom Kippur, from all of us at the Florida Democratic Party, may you have an easy and meaningful fast. G’mar Chatima Tovah.”
