Diane is the Ground Game Coordinator for Outlaw Dark Money and is a member of the statewide Indivisible Team on Redistricting.
Deb is the Volunteer Lead, AZ Indivisible Redistricting Team.

Brandon Montoya is seeking a place on the ballot for the Prescott City Council. He will introduce himself and take questions.
Marion Pack will give an update on the Antinuclear Movement and there will be short team reports.

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE NEEDED
Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation (GPUUC) has started a “no questions asked” food pantry. A success, their stocks are in need of replenishment. They are open 10-noon M-F to accept donations and will also accept checks to GPUUC and cash to purchase supplies.
Their current needs: Non-food items: Toilet paper, Paper towels, Laundry soap; Food items: Rice (white, please); Pasta/Noodles; Fruit, canned; Vegetables, canned (other than green beans please); Refried beans; Tomatoes, canned; Canned meats/beef stew; Soup (canned and dry packets); Jelly/preserves; Honey; Flour; Baby food/baby cereal; Cookies; Pudding; Tuna; Stuffing mix; Dried potatoes Condiments, etc.: Cooking oil; Salt/spices; Ketchup/mustard; Hot sauce/salsa; Coffee; Cocoa/hot chocolate mix; Nondairy creamer.
FYI – For our new members: GPUUC has welcomed us over the past four years. We have used their main meeting room and the building across the street (Faith Development Center) for our activities.

Join the CEBV Weekly Happy Hour this afternoon from 4-6 pm and we’ll try to help .(Does it all seem overwhelming? Pick one action on a bill that means the most to you, and make that one call or email.)
Note: A few people have noticed that Senate and House Rules Committees meet on Monday, and question why that section comes AFTER other RTS actions in the Legislature Weekly. The reason is that RTS comments are usually disregarded unless based on constitutional or legal grounds. Bills in Rules can move straight to the Floor for a final vote, so calls & emails to your reps are more effective than RTS. The RTS priority will be in Appropriations, which meets on Tuesday AND Wednesday.
The only committees that will meet in either chamber are Appropriations and Rules, so Request to Speak opportunities are fewer. However dozens of bills are awaiting final votes in Committee of the Whole (COW) and “Third Read” in both the Senate and House, so our attention will focus more strongly on phone calls and emails to our representatives and potential swing votes. More than ever, legislators need to hear from regular constituents. That’s YOU and ME.

Will Arizona give Georgia a run for the money in new laws to make it harder to vote? Several of the AZ voter suppression bills have been amended, but the changes are purely cosmetic. We need to continue calling and writing, and refer to new language to make sure our representatives know we’re watching carefully.

SB1106 (required PEVL removals, increased penalties): STRIKER / Passed Senate & House committees, waiting for Rules & a full vote in the House.
These are the worst of the worst, but they have NOT crossed the finish line.
Continue to keep the pressure on Sen. Kyrsten Sinema re the Filibuster!This archaic Senate rule has become a brick wall for progress on immigration reform, gun safety, and now voting rights. Many policies heavily favored by the majority of Americans of all political stripes fail to progress because a single Senator can object. It’s time for the filibuster to go!
