Tallahassee, FL — Today Florida announced 19,816 new COVID cases, the most in any single day since the start of the pandemic. Yet somehow, Governor DeSantis still does not have a plan. Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement in response:
“Governor DeSantis it is unacceptable that over 10 months into the COVID-19 outbreak in Florida we have the highest number of new cases in a single day today– 19,816 new cases. Governor DeSantis where is the mask mandate? Where are the precautions to protect our communities? This pandemic is rapidly getting worse instead of better here in Florida because you refuse to take it seriously. This is a matter of life and death.”
