Statement from Congresswoman Castor on Trump Jr’s MAGA event in Tampa

In response to Donald Trump Jr.’s MAGA event in Tampa this evening, Congresswoman Kathy Castor released the following statement:

“While Donald Trump Jr. is in Tampa tonight to spin his father’s broken promises and failed leadership, millions of Floridians and their families continue to suffer through a once-in-a-generation pandemic and economic crisis. Not once, even after learning just how deadly this virus is in January, has Donald Trump or his administration provided a comprehensive plan to protect Americans from this virus, provide economic relief, or put people back to work. Meanwhile, they’ve forged full steam ahead with their lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act and leave millions of Floridians without protections for preexisting conditions or coverage. We need a president in the White House who has a plan to get COVID-19 under control, build back our country better, and improve our health care. We know that Joe Biden will be that president.”
