What office are you running for?
Senate District 32
With which party are you running for office?

Why are you running for office?
There is under representation of young females at the table when decisions about our state are being made. The average age of North Dakotans is 35.2, while the average age of the North Dakota legislature is 59. Furthermore, the state is composed of 48.8% females, yet there is only 18.4% in the North Dakota legislature. As a young, working mom I bring a fresh perspective to the table where decisions are made.
What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
Residents who live in the many manufactured home parks in District 32 and across the state are facing issues as a result of their being purchased by a Utah-based firm. Increased lot rents, fees, and changes to leases have put many in these home parks in a predicament with nowhere else to go.
The Bismarck Tribune ran a story in September 2019 titled “Investment firm’s purchase of Bismarck mobile home parks sparks complaints.”
We can ensure protections for future parks by:
•Passing a law that gives residents first opportunity at purchase. The residents can form a co-op that will purchase and maintain the park.
•Implementing a state tax break that waives capital gains for parks sold to residents to help bridge the gap between what the co-op and the investors could pay.
How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
Working together is key for the advancement of our state and our country. There needs to be less emphasis on what party a candidate is from and more emphasis on what they will bring to the table. Their character and abilities should be what is focused on instead. Once elected, I will focus on the abilities of all members of the legislature and work toward a common good.
