Why are you running for office?
I am running for office to ensure that all voices in the community are represented, not just a select few. As a mom, a homeowner, a public school parent, a public health scientist I believe I can represent our community and advocate for what we need.
What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
Our greatest challenge is a lack of representation of our community interests. We need to ensure that everyone is covered by health insurance, our public schools are fully funded, our environment is protected, expand public transportation, support small business, and build economic opportunity for everyone.
How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
Stop gerrymandering.
Who is your hero?
Rocky Balboa
What are your hobbies?
Home Improvement. Tool-belt diva type of home improvement. I have laid tiles and built a pergola.
What is the most recent book you read?
Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol. Yes this is what I read in my free time.
Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
I am the proud mom of one daughter, who is a recent law school graduate and I have two rescue dogs. Unfortunately no talking houseplants. Would love to know where to get one.
