Postcard Goal In Sight!
As of this past Thursday we had 42,700 postcards back from our partners and nearly all of the remainder of our 80,000 postcard goal out to our partners and a steady stream of cards coming in every day. Scott and Ellen are taking batches of cards to the Post Office every day.

Update Your Signature!
A couple of big take-aways from last week’s Indivisible St. Johns zoom meeting with Ion Sancho (plus one from me):
- Register to Vote By Mail ASAP!!!
- If there is a problem due to Covid 19, elections departments might not have enough staff to process all applications if there is a crunch at the end.
- Update Your Signature!
- Young people’s signatures in particular change and may not be the same at age 20 as age 18. Non-matching signatures are the main reason young peoples vote by mail ballots are rejected at a greater rate.
- An issue with couples is each ballot has an ID and if the ID does not match the name on the envelope it will be rejected. Make sure you don’t accidentally swap ballots.
- FOLLOW THE VOTE BY MAIL INSTRUCTIONS!!
- The biggest reason for older married voter’s ballots being rejected is putting both ballots in the same envelope to save a stamp. Each ballot must be in its own envelope, the correct envelope and signed individually.
- Make sure you mail or drop off your ballot by the vote-by-mail deadline which will be a few days BEFORE election day.
Just remember, Republicans will be going out of their way to invalidate as many votes and voters as possible. Act accordingly to protect your vote.

Weekly Demonstrations Go Virtual During Pandemic
Contact John Stewart at sjstew@gte.net for information on the weekly virtual demonstration. Every Monday or Tuesday he is sending out the current week’s topic and virtual protest signs to his direct contacts.

Below is contact information for the Senators’ offices in the federal courthouse in downtown Tampa where we protest every Tuesday. Once a week you help stage a virtual demonstration by contacting the offices by phone and/or e-mail to let them know your concerns. You can let them know this is part of the Tuesday morning virtual demonstration.
We can keep a regular presence on line, even if we don’t in the flesh.
One request: the staff in the two offices have always been professional and courteous to us. No matter what you think of their bosses’ morals and policies, please be polite to the staff when you communicate. We have nothing to gain by being hostile or rude.

This will be a great way to keep active and, once the crisis has passed, to amplify the voices of those demonstrating. Not everyone has the ability or inclination to demonstrate, so we can let the senators know that there are countless people who agree with those who are in front of their offices every week.
