California Stay at Home Order

Yesterday Governor Newsom issued a statewide #StayAtHome order to protect public health during this COVID-19 pandemic.

This means, effective last night—all California residents must stay home—except as needed to go out for essential services. Essential services remain open.

What’s an essential service during the #StayAtHome order? They include:

• Gas stations
• Pharmacies
• Grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks, convenience stores, and take-out/delivery restaurants
• Banks
• Laundromats

State & local government—including law enforcement and government services.

What’s closed during this #StayAtHome order? Examples include:

• Dine-in restaurants
• Bars and nightclubs
• Entertainment venues
• Gyms
• Public events and gatherings
• Convention Centers

Governor Newsom also activated 500 National Guard members to offer humanitarian assistance to our California Food Banks, as they face volunteer shortages due to COVID-19. If you can help, visit: http://cafoodbanks.org.
