Why are you running for office?
To serve the needs of the electorate in regard to healthcare, public education, fair wages, climate change, water rights and military healthcare.
What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
The previously stated issues are part of a web of issues that effect all Arizonans. All of these issues must be addressed so out citizens can live and thrive. Out state government must address these issues by prioritizing each of them as a moral imperative.
How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
Civility in government has a place in the institutions that are designed to work for the people. State leaders need that work to guide their everyday actions….our purpose is to serve, everything else should follow.
Who is your hero?
Robert F. Kennedy. He inspired a generation.
What are your hobbies?
SCUBA, researching, politics, landscaping, volunteering for the environment and the animals within and serving others.
What is the most recent book you read?
Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
My son is 37 and has spent his adult life working throughout the world in refugee countries, as part of an effort to assist them in creating self-sustaining communities. I have a field spaniel named Kula (Hawaiian meaning:compassionate) who helps me become a better person.

What is your passion?
My entire adult life has been spent to civil service, creating new avenues in which others may thrive. I am thrilled to continue in this work as State Senator, LD11.
