What office are you running for?
Arkansas State Representative District 31

With which party are you running for office?
Democratic Party

Election Date
November 03, 2020

Why are you running for office?
I am running for office because I have developed over time a great love for my community here in Arkansas. A community which I have been able to raise my family in and have great success, and I want to make sure that everybody in my district has the opportunity to have the same success. In the greatest country on earth, everybody should have the opportunity to work hard and have economic success. Furthermore I have seen and listened to how politicians brought up key issues and passed bills that have directly impacted the people that motivated me to run for the office and I felt that the voices of people in my district are not reflected in the house. I want to be a bridge between the people of my district and the house.

What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
I don’t feel like it is helpful to necessarily focus on one specific issue because so many are tied together, but I would say economic opportunity is always something we need to strive for. I want to offer those who live in poverty the opportunity to serve their community in exchange for educational assistance. We can also offer tax incentives to businesses who are willing to hire and retrain those who have been unemployed for long periods of time.

How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
The corrupt political and economic elite really don’t care what political party you associate with, as long as they can keep us fighting each other we are distracted from coming together to take control of our government. People have to realize it’s not your liberal or conservative neighbor that is screwing you over. It is the self serving politicians, some of which are in both parties, that are screwing us over. Once we realize that I believe we can truly achieve great things.

Who is your hero?
Martin Luther King

What are your hobbies?
Watching movies and Playing Volleyball

Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
I am a proud husband and father of one daughter who is studying pre-med in college, and a son who is a junior in high school.
