Washington, DC – Earlier this week, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) voted in favor of a government funding measure that included an increase of $50 million for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Kuster, along with a bipartisan group of her colleagues, called for increased funding for LIHEAP, which provides heating assistance to low-income seniors and families.
“I’ve long fought for the LIHEAP program because New Hampshire’s most vulnerable children, seniors, and families should never face the threat of not being able to heat their homes during the cold winter months,” said Kuster. “This week we advanced robust funding for LIHEAP that will help low-income families in New Hampshire stay warm this winter. I was proud to advocate for these resources and will continue to fight to support all Granite State families.”
Kuster has consistently advocated for robust funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Earlier this year, Kuster and her colleagues pushed back against cuts to the program proposed by the Trump Administration.
