South Carolina House of Representatives District 47

With which party are you running for office?
Democratic Party

Why are you running for office? 
I am running for office because we need leaders who not only listen to and represent the people, but who have also experienced some of the issues everyday Americans face.

What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
The biggest issue is access to a quality education and I propose working with our educators to pass legislation that will improve our schools and will truly benefit our students, educators, and school employees.

How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
We fix the divide by having leaders that serve and represent the people, put a stop to the hate rhetoric being spread by our leaders and focus on the issues that effect the people.

Who is your hero?
I have a few, President F. Roosevelt, President A. Lincoln, and Representative. A. Ocasio-Cortez

What are your hobbies?
I do photography, I paint, and I build furniture.

What is the most recent book you read?
God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships by Matthew Vines

Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
I have two dogs, a Bassett Hound named River and a Beagle named Roger.
