What office are you running for?
U.S. Senate

With which party are you running for office?
Democratic Party

Election Date
November 3, 2020

Why are you running for office?
I’m running for office because Louisiana deserves a Senator who will stand up to Donald Trump and demand healthcare coverage, higher minimum wages, better jobs, gun reform, expanded protections for women’s reproductive rights, funding for quality education, and environmental protections.

What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
The biggest issue facing my community is the lack or quality healthcare coverage. I plan to fight for universal healthcare coverage that does not allow limits or restrictions for people with preexisting conditions.

How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
We can fix the divide by choosing to put people before partisanship. The voters have to demand bipartisanship and their representatives must be willing to carry out the demands of their constituents. We have to remove the obstacles of monied campaign influences so that elected officials can focus more on taking care of their constituents and less on appeasing their donors and the interests of wtheir ealthy corporate influencers.

Who is your hero?
I can’t name one. My heroes are every person who has fought, bled, and died for the cause of freedom, justice, and equality.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy reading and fishing.

What is the most recent book you read?
The most recent book I read was “Adaptive Leadership.”

Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
I have a spoiled pet cat named Jupiter.
