What office are you running for?
Missouri State Representative in HD110

With which party are you running for office?
Democratic Party

Election Date
November 3, 2020

Why are you running for office?
I am working to earn the honor and privilege to represent my family, friends, neighbors and State because our current State Representative only seems to focused on guns, conspiracy theories and calling people that she disagrees with “socialists”, “communists”, “globalists” and so forth. What we *need* our State Representative to do is work to reform our broken Healthcare system, advocate for our underfunded public schools, protect hard-working Missourians from discrimination, attempts to end collective bargaining and efforts to lower wages and benefits, protect our air, land and water (and families) from polluters, support our struggling family farmers, work to guarantee that every Missourian has the same access to justice, peace and opportunity regardless of age, gender, skin color, ethnicity, faith, ability, sexual orientation or zip code. I believe that Missouri deserves MUCH better representation so that we can do the work to make our State a place that we can ALL be proud to call home.

What is the biggest issue facing your community and how do you propose helping?
My District is interesting (and challenging) in that parts of it enjoy a great deal of wealth and prosperity while others do not. While one District’s priorities might be dealing with aggressive development, maintaining excellent schools, fixing our crumbling roads and bridges and so forth other communities just an exit down and beyond are being wracked by lack of opportunity, underfunded schools, opioid addiction, poverty, crime, lack of access to affordable, quality Healthcare and so forth. I also believe that we have to work together in order to address the bigger picture of how resources from more affluent communities flow to struggling ones. If we address the issues that those struggling communities face with a more committed and clear vision we can then elevate their fortunes so that they can be more productive contributors to our State’s economy and well-being.

How do we fix the partisan divide in our country and start working together again?
By focusing on policies and issues that effect our daily lives and demanding that people treat us with dignity and respect while treating them with kindness and understanding as well.

Who is your hero?
Barack Obama

What are your hobbies?
Riding motorcycles, fitness, reading.

What is the most recent book you read?
The Constitution of the United States of America and Selected Writings of the Founding Fathers

Do you have any kids/pets/talking houseplants?
We raise our 2 great-nieces, have 4 grown children and 2 cats.

How can our readers get involved in your campaign?
We are seeking volunteers and staff for canvassing, phone banking, event planning and staffing, media and content production, fundraising and more.

What question do you wish we’d asked, and what is your answer?
Q: What motivated you to get involved in politics?
A: The chaos and poor governance of theTrump Presidency followed by the realization that I didn’t have a Congressional Candidate to vote for in my District.
